Regardless of Academy Awardsgate, Apple is pushing forward with the discharge of Will Smith-starring historic drama Emancipation, directed by Antoine Fuqua. The total trailer is now on-line.

Written by William N. Collage, Emancipation tells the triumphant story of Peter (Smith), a person who escapes from slavery, counting on his wits, unwavering religion and deep love for his household to evade cold-blooded hunters and the unforgiving swamps of Louisiana on his quest for freedom.

The movie is impressed by the 1863 images of “Whipped Peter,” taken throughout a Union Military medical examination, that first appeared in Harper’s Weekly. One picture, generally known as “The Scourged Again,” which exhibits Peter’s naked again mutilated by a whipping delivered by his enslavers, finally contributed to rising public opposition to slavery.

Emancipation is headed to Apple TV+ globally on 9 December.
