Glass Onion: A Knives Out Thriller To Shut The 2022 BFI London Movie Competition

Movie competition season is in full swing, and the 66th version of the BFI London Movie Competition is barely a few months away. Again in June, it was introduced that Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical, starring Lashana Lynch and Emma Thompson, will likely be opening the competition on 5 October, and we now know which movie would be the closing gala, too – Rian Johnson’s homicide thriller sequel Glass Onion: A Knives Out Thriller.

The follow-up to 2018’s wildly entertaining and much-enjoyed Knives Out, Glass Onion sees Daniel Craig return as donut hole-loving Detective Benoit Blanc, sharp go well with and Southern drawl in tact. He’s the one connective tissue on this anthology-type sequel, this time heading to Greece to crack a brand new case. He’ll be joined by a stellar forged of recent suspects, together with Ethan Hawke, Kathryn Hahn, Jessica Henwick, Dave Bautista, Janelle Monáe, Kate Hudson, Edward Norton and Leslie Odom Jr – the latter 4 of which is able to be part of Johnson in attending the competition itself.
